Saturday provides you with a fun and meaningful way to capture and share videos. With just a few taps, you can create awesome videos to share via Saturday's content-sharing platform.

We want to be as clear as possible in regards to how we handle with your personal data, so please have a read.

This privacy policy (the "Policy") describes how Saturday Technologies Incorporated ("Saturday", "we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use or access any applications or websites created or made available by us (collectively called the "Service").

The Policy applies to users, visitors, and all others who access the Service.

By using the Service, you understand that Saturday is providing you a content-sharing platform to post videos, photos, and other materials (together, the "Content"). The Content is shared publicly, which means other users may search for, see, use, or share any of your Content that you share via the Service, consistent with the Terms of Service and the conditions of the Policy.

Collection of Information

Information You Provide To Saturday

Saturday stores information you choose to share with us. For example, to access the Service, you are required to set a up an account. Saturday will collect important details here: your username, email address, and password are all stored. (Just to be clear, passwords are processed by a hashing function, which means they are not stored in a database in plain-text). Your name, your profile picture, and other identifying details are stored to help your friends find you. Saturday collects information as necessary for fulfilling the user's interaction with the Service.

When you post a video via the Service, Saturday will store that video and its associated information (e.g. the caption and the date). Please understand that any Content you post may possibly be saved by other users: so please don't share content you wouldn't want anybody saving or sharing. If you choose to send feedback, note that your email address, username, and the message can be stored. If you contact Saturday, whatever information you volunteer will be collected.

Information Saturday Collects Automatically

When you use or access the Service, some information about you is automatically collected:

  • Content: When you post videos or photos, we automatically collect: the date, your username, and associated metadata.
  • Logs: we may log information about your use of our websites, including browser type, language, access times, pages viewed, and your IP address.
  • Device: we may collect information describing the device you are using to access the Service. This data including the hardware, model, operating system, version, MAC address, unique device identifier, and mobile network information.
  • Search: we collect and store search queries you make through the Service. This helps us determine trends and what's popular.
  • Cookies: cookies are small data files stored on your computer that helps us improve your experience and the Service, help us determine what area and feature of the Service are popular, and help us count visitors.

Saturday is based in Canada and the information we collect is governed by Canadian law. By accessing or using the Service, or otherwise providing us information to us, you consent to the processing and transfer of information in and to Canada and other countries.

Sharing of Information

Your information may be shared with other users, including, but not limited to, your username, name, and profile picture. If you invite your friends via the in-app sharing feature, your username and name may be included in the message associated with the invite. If you choose to email a friend, please note your email address will be visible to the recipients.

Your information may be shared with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf. Your information may also be shared in response to a legal process or a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with any applicable law, rule, or regulation, or as otherwise required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.

In order to investigate or remedy potential violations or breaches of any of Saturday's terms or policies, or to protect the right, property, and safety of Saturday, the Service it provides, users of the Service, and other, your personal information may be disclosed.

Your information may be shared in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of out business to another company.

We may also share aggregated and de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

Services Provided By Others

We may allow third-parties to provide analytical services on our behalf. These entities may use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to collect information about your use of the Service, including your IP address, web browser, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and conversion information.
